Yin Yoga
Acts to clear blockages and restores balance within the subtle system referred to as the Meridian. This practice incorporates long holds of specific yoga poses by keeping the muscles that are not needed in the pose relaxed, the practitioner stretches/stresses certain connective tissues (fascia, tendons, ligaments, etc.) to work on gaining flexibility. The mind will get some time to relax through learning to focus. Both techniques additionally work to engage the parasympathetic nervous system and decrease production of stress hormones, which allows for the flow of creativity and peacefulness. This combination is the perfect duo to give yourself a healthy boost!
