YoM 200-Hour Teacher Training

Flexible training schedule 

Yoga On Main 200- hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. This program will be led by Salena Quinlan-Shults. Salena has over 20 years experience in teaching yoga to people of all levels and brings 17 years of experience owning and operating a yoga business in Frisco, TX.

This program is in collaboration with Purple Lotus Yoga. Purple Lotus Yoga has been training yoga teachers since 2003 and has trained several of our Yoga On Main Instructors. PLY is a Yoga Alliance registered training program and falls in line with YA requirements. 

This will be a 7-month long life-changing journey. 

We will meet one weekend a month and one evening mid-month starting in March 2024 and complete our training in October  2024.

Accountability
1:1 calls throughout training to answer questions and keep you on track.

Lifetime Access
Participants will receive lifetime access to Purple Lotus Yoga's online portal containing all of the 200 hour yoga training videos and content..

Teaching Manual
Manual, worksheets, and templates to support you during and after training.

What you will learn:

MODULE ONE
Yoga Foundations
History + philosophy, classical forms, influencers, yoga styles, eight limbs, yamas + niyamas. Foundational and symmetrical asanas.

 

MODULE TWO
Teaching Foundations
Pacing, environment, verbal + physical cues, class management, observing and mentoring. Sun salutation asanas.

 

MODULE THREE
Ethics Foundations
How yoga and philosophy connect to equity and accountability in yoga. Four Agreements + kriya yoga. Cool down asanas.

 

MODULE FOUR
Breathing Foundations
How to, proper instruction for four main breathing techniques, anatomy of breathing, and pranayama. Standing asanas.

 

MODULE FIVE
Meditation Foundations
How to, expectations, five different types + tools like mantras + mudras. How meditation affects the nervous system. Seated asanas.

 

MODULE SIX
Anatomy Foundations
Ten major systems of the body with emphasis on bones, muscles + nervous system, and how yoga impacts each one. Standing balancing asanas.

 

MODULE SEVEN
Chakra Foundations
The seven major energy centers with physical + mental correlations. Practices to use to enhance chakra energy. Prone asanas.

 

MODULE EIGHT
Business Foundations
Where to teach, pay expectations, insurance, Yoga Alliance, next steps. Arm balancing asanas. Review and final assessments for program completion.
